The exhibition brings together more than one hundred artists aged 40 and under from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, offering viewers a cross-section of how a new generation uses, shifts and redefines painting in an era where the visual space is fast, digital and saturated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSMS. WIFI. OK.\u201d \u2014 abbreviations understood in the same way in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian \u2014 refer to a shared space of communication where meaning moves quickly, succinctly and across borders. The exhibition title connects this linguistic common ground with the experience of a younger generation: a world in which the exchange of information is fragmented, intense and constantly being recoded. \u201cNew Baltic Painting\u201d asks how painting functions in such an environment \u2014 as a slow, bodily and materially present medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The focus is on painting as a mode of thinking and perception in an age defined by visual excess, digital speed and screen-based experience.
