On Wednesday, 29 July, at 19:00, Nordale Pagalms will open at Šmerļa iela 3 k-2 – a new gathering and event space in the emerging Nordale neighbourhood. Maija Rozīte will set the musical atmosphere for the opening evening, while guests will also be invited to contribute to a collaborative graffiti wall. The programme will include an open-air cinema screening, cocktails and an opportunity to explore the new venue.
The concept of Nordale Pagalms draws inspiration from Copenhagen’s urban environment and its lively pop-up courtyards, which encourage spontaneous encounters, creativity and a slower rhythm of everyday life surrounded by nature.
Nordale Pagalms is designed as a place where people across the city can stop by, meet, relax and enjoy a variety of events throughout the year. Its concept is rooted in Nordale’s broader lifestyle vision, inspired by the Nordic values of light, nature, simplicity and togetherness. The courtyard is intended to host pop-up events, creative workshops, film nights, cultural and lifestyle events, as well as various collaborations and community initiatives. It will also be suitable for team meetings, after-work gatherings, children’s birthday celebrations and relaxed leisure time beneath the courtyard’s apple trees.
“Although the first Nordale apartments are yet to be built, it is important for us to begin shaping the life and identity of the new neighbourhood today. Nordale Pagalms will be a publicly accessible place for culture, conversation, togetherness and new ideas. We want people to come here not only to learn about the future development, but also to meet, unwind and enjoy a variety of events,” says Kristjan-Thor Vähi, Founder and CEO of Invego.
Nordale Pagalms will also have one building dedicated to a showroom for the new residential development, where visitors will be able to explore the vision for the future neighbourhood and learn more about the available homes. The new Nordale development is being created across an eight hectare site in Mežciems, next to Riga Film Studio and Biķernieki forest. Nearly EUR 38 million will be invested in the first phase of the project, which will comprise 159 homes and commercial premises.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the opening of Nordale Pagalms on 29 July at 19:00 at Šmerļa iela 3 k-2. Guests are kindly requested to confirm their attendance in advance by registering on the event page.
