Construction of the Luccaranna residential district, which lasted more than four years, has ended, and the main contractor NOBE has handed over all the homes to the client. Of the 254 homes in the residential district, which consists of 20 apartment buildings and 11 triplex villas and cost 31 million euros, close to 90% have been sold to date.
According to Invego’s head Kristjan-Thor Vähi, Luccaranna, extending across nearly ten hectares, is one of the largest comprehensively developed new residential districts in Tallinn. “We placed very strong emphasis on ensuring that the environment created would fit well with the seaside area. At the centre of the fully car-free residential district is a linear park between the buildings, which creates a unified whole close to nature,” Vähi comments. Luccaranna’s thoroughly considered architectural whole was created according to Invego’s vision by KUU Architects and Kino Landscape Architects, and the final stage of the development by Apex Architecture Office.
According to Vähi, the Kakumäe-Tiskre area has developed rapidly in recent years and has clearly become one of the most valued places to live for Tallinn residents. “Seaside Luccaranna is made more attractive by the diverse opportunities for active leisure and the quality infrastructure,” Vähi explains, recalling that all home buyers receive a five-year construction warranty from Invego, which provides additional confidence and makes settling into a new home especially carefree.
The apartment buildings are equipped with lifts; the homes themselves are spacious and full of light, with balconies or terraces, and many offer a view of the sea. Parking placed at the edges of the quarter and the car-free areas between the buildings, along with paved footpaths, alternate in turn with various natural areas, and the seashore is 50 metres from the residential district.
Luccaranna is located in the city of Tallinn, in the seaside part of the Tiskre district next to the Tabasalu bank. In the 19th century this was a popular summer resort for the better-off. Together with Georg Witte’s bathing salon in Kadriorg, the Luccaranna area was one of the country’s most popular seaside resorts among the high society of both Tallinn and St Petersburg. The Lucca and Tiskre resorts were visited in their time by the family of the poet Pushkin and his friends, as well as by the renowned historian and writer Karamzin.
