Invego Signs €29.8 Million Contract with SIA “Aimasa” for Nordale’s First Construction Stage

Estonian real estate developer Invego has appointed SIA “Aimasa” as the construction partner for the first stage of Nordale, a new multi-stage residential district planned in Mežciems. The contract of the first stage amounts to €29.8 million euros (€24.6 plus VAT) and marks a significant step forward in the development of the project.

Nordale is among the most ambitious residential development projects planned in Riga in recent years. The old industrial area in Biķernieki forest in Mežciems, including the historic Riga Film Studio site, will be transformed into a modern urban space shaped by Nordic-inspired architecture and surrounded by pine forests and natural sand dunes. The first construction phase will include 159 new homes and commercial premises, with a total development volume of 19,500 square meters.

SIA “Aimasa” is an established construction company in Latvia with experience in large-scale residential and commercial projects. According to Invego, the choice of SIA “Aimasa” reflects the developer’s focus on long-term quality, reliability, and the ability to deliver complex projects in a timely manner.

Kristjan-Thor Vähi, CEO of Invego, says: “Selecting the right construction partner is one of the most important decisions in any development. SIA “Aimasa” has demonstrated the experience and capability needed for a project of this scale, and we are confident that together we will deliver the first stage of Nordale to the highest standard. This agreement brings us one step closer to creating a new residential district that will serve Riga for decades to come.”

Sandris Apsīts, Chairman of the Board at SIA “Aimasa”, notes: “In this project, our role as the general contractor is to ensure a high-quality and well-managed construction process from the design phase through to the completion of the buildings. In cooperation with the developer Invego, modern apartment buildings are being developed in Riga, combining functional architectural solutions, high-quality materials, and a sustainable approach to construction.”

Nordale is also notable for its architectural concept. Different phases of the development will be designed by different international teams of architects, giving each part of the district its own architectural identity and helping to create a diverse and vibrant community. The architectural concept for the first phase has been developed by SIA “Zenico Projekts”, and construction will begin following the completion of preparatory activities on the territory.

The first stage of Nordale will offer two- to five-room apartments with functional, future-ready homes with large balconies and terraces, green inner courtyards, and layouts that maximize natural light. The district’s location in Mežciems provides convenient access to everyday services, sports facilities, nature areas and educational institutions, while maintaining comfortable proximity to the city centre.
