Estonian-built residential quarter in Riga, developed for 14 million, named Latvia’s residential project of the year

Skanstes Rezidences, developed in Riga for 14 million euros by Estonian real estate developers Invego and Reterra, received the Residential Project of the Year award at BREL Forum (Baltic Real Estate Leaders Forum), an international real estate conference held in Latvia.

The Skanstes Rezidences residential quarter was named the best residential real estate project of the year by the BREL Forum jury, made up of real estate industry leaders and experts. “The recently completed Skanstes Rezidences is undoubtedly an outstanding new development. This recognition clearly shows how highly our southern neighbours value the quality and experience of Estonian developers,” says Invego CEO Kristjan-Thor Vähi. He also notes that in spring, Parka Kvartals, a residential district Invego and Reterra completed together at the start of this year, received recognition at Latvia’s annual construction awards.

According to Reigo Randmets, CEO and partner at Reterra, the award is important recognition of the partnership and of its goal of contributing to the development of Riga’s living environment. “Last week was especially successful for us, as it brought recognition to two developments in two different countries and cities. In developing both the Hipodroomi quarter and Skanstes Rezidences, we have paid close attention to architecture, well-thought-out layouts and creating a complete living environment. That makes it all the more rewarding to see the work recognised more widely,” says Randmets.

Construction has already begun on Miera Rezidences, the third joint development by Invego and Reterra. “Both the recently completed Skanstes Rezidences and Miera Rezidences, now under construction, have also been popular with Estonian investors, who have already bought more than twenty investment apartments in these developments,” says Vähi.

Skanstes Rezidences is located in Skanste, which has become one of Riga’s fastest-developing and most promising areas. Designed by the architecture firm Salto Arhitektid, the residential quarter consists of two eight-storey residential buildings with an A energy rating and a total of 67 modern premium apartments. The project places particular emphasis on natural light, spaciousness and modern comfort. The homes have large windows, balconies, private terraces, loft-style layouts and high ceilings, which reach as much as six metres in some apartments. Residents also have rooftop terraces and, for added convenience, a spacious underground car park.
